The Buccleuch group of companies welcomed the appointment of Simon Perkins to the rural board in December 2025.

Simon joins the group board following his appointment to the Buccleuch Property board in December 2022. He was chief executive of McKay Securities Plc. for twenty years before executing the sale of the business to Workspace Group Plc in April 2022. He has worked across many aspects of property including planning, development and construction, financing, investment, and portfolio management.
