Buccleuch is the trading name of two UK incorporated groups of companies headed by MDS Group Operations Limited and MDS Groups Investments Limited, both of which hold shares in numerous companies.

MDS Group Operations Limited undertakes farming, forestry, renewable energy, and hospitality activities.

MDS Group Investments Limited undertakes investment and development activities relating to commercial property, and rural property management and heritage activities.

The shares of both MDS Group Operations Limited and MDS Group Investments Limited are owned by various UK resident discretionary trusts. Each of these trusts pay tax in the UK. The beneficiaries of the trusts are members of the Buccleuch family. The fiduciary role of trustee is carried out by MDS Trustees Limited, a UK resident company whose directors are The Earl of Dalkeith and Lord Damian Scott.

For administrative convenience, the shares in MDS Group Operations Limited and MDS Group Investments Limited are held in the name of Anderson Strathern Nominees Limited on behalf of the trustee.
