Event: Can Land use Deliver more for Scotland?

Event: Can Land use Deliver more for Scotland?
3rd June 2014

“Scotland’s land is a fundamental asset; without it we can neither prosper as an economy nor function as a nation.”

Richard Lochhead MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs and Environment.
Getting the best from our land: A land use strategy for Scotland, 2011

It is widely recognised that we are not getting the full benefit of Scotland’s land despite the fact we continue to increase our demands from it. Land use has become an increasingly complex issue, with a growing number of demands and expectations expressed locally, nationally and globally. Achieving the right balance between economic, community and environmental objectives is crucial if solutions are to be sustainable.

Please join us for a light lunch followed by a Q&A session with our panel of industry experts, representing the diverse membership of the Scottish Forum on Natural Capital, to discuss “Can land use deliver more for Scotland?”
