Land resource is very different to other assets, as it is used by many people beyond its owner. The choices made at Buccleuch have far reaching implications on a local, community, national and global level. As stewards of almost 227,000 acres we go to great lengths to think about the long term consequences of our decisions and ensure we engage with all those who have legitimate interest in the land. We are actively engaged with the government, local authorities and other key stakeholders to ensure their input helps to shape the decisions we make.
