OUR RURAL ESTATES

The four traditional historical estates of the Buccleuch family very much reflect the Groups origins in the countryside of south Scotland and Northamptonshire. These notes can only be a snapshot of the estates and all  they encompass. Seeing them first hand brings Buccleuch Estates and some 900 years of heritage alive.
Managing over 400 sq miles of countryside is no easy task and a team of professionals across a portfolio of 7 business areas are responsible for providing a wide range of skills and expertise to manage and steward over 1,000 properties, 11,000ha of woodland, 200 tenanted farms and 4 mansion houses which collectively provide employment for over 250 people.
