A Treemendous day out
PRESS RELEASE
Bowhill Country Estate breaks new ground this summer with the inaugural ‘Treemendous Trees’ day, a spectacular celebration of trees and woodlands.
The event being held on the 13th of July in the grounds of Bowhill House will include chainsaw carving, horse logging, tree climbing and planting demonstrations within the beautiful estate woodlands. Within the courtyard there will be a wide range of exhibitors with wood turning, wood product sales and children’s activities.
David Wild of Buccleuch Ranger Service stated ‘Bowhill’s woodlands offer a fantastic setting for visitors of all ages to learn about trees, from the planting stage and conservation, right through to turning of the wood into finished products. This is the first time we have run an event like this and the huge range of exhibitors should ensure a great day out with something on offer for all the family to enjoy’
The event will be open to the public between 11am & 4pm, tickets costing £4 for adults and £3 for children. Family tickets and season passes will also be available for entry. Bowhill House is also open to the public for the rest of July and tickets for house tours can be purchased on the day.
