The Duke of Buccleuch and family are delighted to have received confirmation that the painting recovered by Dumfries & Galloway police officers earlier is the Leonardo da Vinci masterpiece stolen from Drumlanrig Castle four years ago.
He said: “It is wonderful news that the missing painting has been recovered by police.
“We are most grateful to the police for all their efforts and investigations which have brought about the safe return of the painting; about which we look forward to hearing more in due course”. <<< Back |
