Colourful Chance for Local Schools to Go Green
Pupils at Kingsland Primary School in Peebles will help launch a poster design competition aimed at helping children think more about the environment.
And the youngsters will be using some giant 5ft coloured pencils as props to help get their message across.
Property experts Buccleuch John Sale New Homes are asking budding artists at primary schools across the region to design a poster showing an environmentally friendly home of the future.
The winner will scoop an action-packed family break to Centre Parcs and a fantastic £700 computer plus design and art package for their school.
New Homes sales manager Lee Stoddart said she hoped all primary school pupil would take part and be in with a chance to win these great prizes.
She said: “No one can underestimate the part we all have to play in helping shape our environmental future and what better place to start than with the next generation.
“Buccleuch John Sale New Homes are helping do their bit for the environment by planting trees to help offset carbon emissions in every new home we sell but we want to do more.
“We want to encourage youngsters to play a part too and hope this competition will not only help them go green but win some great prizes too
